Following on from the recent announcement that the tall ship Johanna Lucretia will be moored at Teignmouth for the whole of the 2020 weekend and that 11 paid berths are available on her journey from Plymouth to Teignmouth the preceding week, we can now reveal the exact details of what is on offer.
The 11 people will join the boat at 2pm on Monday 21st September and set sail for Teignmouth, arriving there on Friday 25th September and leaving the boat at 4pm. Potential stops along the way include Dartmouth, Salcombe, Hope Cove and Brixham, but the final schedule will be subject to weather. No previous sailing experience is required, as the crew of 4 will demonstrate what to do. However, it is an active holiday, so you will be involved in raising the sails and help sailing the boat, therefore the places are restricted to able bodied individuals.
There are toilets, a galley and comfortable seating down below. The berths will be in shared cabins and so are only suitable for adults. The fee is £495, which includes the use of waterproofs, safety equipment and all meals on board. A 30% deposit is payable at the time of booking and the remainder 8 weeks before the voyage.
