The 11 berths to sail from Plymouth to Teignmouth on the tall ship Johanna Lucretia this year sold out in just a few hours! With the cancellation of the 2020 Teign Maritime Shanty festival, these berths have all been transferred over to the week leading up to the 2021 festival, which is being held over the weekend of Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th September and the Johanna Lucretia will be moored at Teignmouth for the whole of that weekend.
We are aware that there were a large number of disappointed people who were unable to get a booking due to the tremendous demand for places and so, in conjunction with the Island Trust, were are delighted to announce that an additional 11 paid berths are now available for her return journey from Teignmouth to Plymouth the following week, sailing from Teignmouth on Monday 6th and arriving in Plymouth on Friday 10 September.
Potential stops along the way include Dartmouth, Salcombe, Hope Cove and Brixham, but the final schedule will be subject to weather. No previous sailing experience is required, as the crew of 4 will demonstrate what to do. However, it is an active holiday, so you will be involved in raising the sails and help sailing the boat, therefore the places are restricted to able bodied individuals.
There are toilets, a galley and comfortable seating down below. The berths will be in shared cabins and so are only suitable for adults. The fee is £495, which includes the use of waterproofs, safety equipment and all meals on board. A 30% deposit is payable at the time of booking and the remainder 8 weeks before the voyage.
If you wish to be considered for a berth, please apply in the first instance to the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
We expect these berths to again quickly sell out quickly and places will be allocated on a “first come basis” – those already on the waiting list from the first trip will automatically be contacted.
Keep safe and happy sailing!
